The First Round Notice

on the Convocation of the First Session of Asian and Pacific Casting Iron Pipe Technology Seminar  

 

Chinese Society for Casting Iron Pipes, the Affiliated Society of Chinese Society for Metals is the academic organization of the Chinese cast iron pipes (including the ductile iron pipes, grey cast iron pipes, and cast iron fittings) and provides an excellent platform for the domestic and foreign counterparts in meeting each other, exchanging information, making friends, and displaying the results in CIP technology. By the negotiation with the domestic and foreign counterparts as well as the approval by the national relevant departments, the Chinese Society for Casting Iron Pipes, the Affiliated Society of Chinese Society for Metals, will hold on Oct. 2007 in China (Beijing) “the First Session of Asian and Pacific Casting Iron Pipe Technology Seminar”. The Chinese CIP industry is constantly growing from scientific research, equipment development and manufacturing to the production scale and application and has entered a prospering development stage, but how to develop in a sustainable and healthy way in future is a common question facing the domestic and foreign counterparts. We hope that by this meeting we can provide an excellent location for the managers, experts, technicians, and CIP equipment manufacturers, and pipe fittings dealers home and abroad, in order to explore the development methods and directions of CIP industry. The meeting will also invite the CIP counterparts from Europe and America, etc, and at the same time, negotiate the matters about establishing a CIP Association across Asia and Pacific area. Welcome the domestic and foreign counterparts to participate the meeting and actively contribute articles. Now we have following notice on the contents related with the invitation of articles:          

The scope of articles:

1、         The analysis on the status quo of the production and development of cast iron pipes (including fittings) in Asia and Pacific area.

2、         The present status on the Chinese CIP production and the development forecast for 2010.

3、         The present situation and development on the Chinese water supply industry.

4、         The present situation and development on the domestic cast iron pipes (CIP).

5、         The present situation and development on the domestic water supply industry.

6、         The status quo and development on the CIP and water supplying industry in Asia and Pacific area.

7、         The CIP production technology and the achieved results on scientific research

8、         The melting, spheroidization, and inoculation technology.

9、         The CIP anti-corrosion technology and experiences (internal and external, cement, and others). 

10、    The CIP chemical inspection and testing, packing, and labeling.

11、    The requirements and suggestions on the CIP standards.

12、    The drainage CIP production, testing, and application.

13、    The new technologies and techniques on the CIP fittings.

14、    The types of CIP joints.

15、    The production technology of rubber rings and the effective testing methods to ensure quality.

16、    The experiences on the CIP operation and management.

17、    The comparison on performances and economies between the ductile iron pipes and PE, PCP, plastic pipes, cement glass steel, and steel pipes, etc.

18、    The production and manufacturing of the CIP equipments.

19、    The production and manufacturing of the CIP pipe molds.

20、    The related raw material etc for the production of CIP.

21、    The market positioning, competitive analysis, and other related aspects in the CIP industry. 

Requirements:

1、         Papers (including papers that have been published) are to be compiled into the collected papers and formal publication of “First Session of Asia and Pacific Technology Seminar”;

2、         Papers should be edited by Microsoft  Word or texts, and one printed copy should be mailed to the contact person of the meeting, and at the same time, send one copy to the designated mailbox in the attached file of e-mail;  

3、         The number of words, in principle, should not exceed 6000 (including words, figures and tables) at most, with English and Chinese abstracts;

4、         Table should use three line tables, and the photo should be attached with original copy or by scanned file;

5、         The end of paper should indicate: name, title, job position, work address, correspondence address, post code, telephone, fax, and e-mail, etc of the first author;

6、         The deadline of inviting papers: Jun. 30, 2007.
